Da-Le Ranch has prototyped and introduced
what we think
is the first of its kind gardening concept: A "garden spot" for urban dwellers
with no space for a garden, but a desire to eat fresh
and pesticide free vegetables.
Most of these "city folks" are surrounded by
grocery stores selling processed
meats, fruits and vegetables from myriad parts of the world. Much of this
food is loaded with hormones and pesticides, many of which are actually harmful
to life and health.
Are you concerned about
eating the hormones and pesticides added to your fresh vegetables and fruits?
If so read on. . . Da-Le Ranch
offers a unique rental Garden Spot for you and your family to grow your own
healthy, nutritious, clean and organic (or regular) fresh-from-the-farm vegetables and
fruits. If organic foods are not your passion, and you just want fresh,
clean, nutritious veggies that you grow yourself, ask us about preparing a Garden
Spot
for you too, well separated from the organic center.
Regardless of your tastes, you'll find just the spot to
plant your own garden, and raise your own vegetables, trees and plants,
in a quiet, comfortable, and rustic location, well away from the smog, sounds
and congestion of the large
city.
Plan ahead to enjoy a morning, afternoon or evening
each week of planting, growing,
cultivating and harvesting your own favorite and personally grown vegetables.
Or visit your Garden Spot as often as you like. Our rental agreement
will provide for watering your garden when you are unable to visit the ranch for
some reason.
Of course, if you want to make it a
family outing, pack a lunch, spend a day, and hike some of the trails we're
developing for hiking and horse back riding.
Garden Spot
Details:
Our first 16' x 90' organic Garden
Spot structure is NOW available, and provides about 15 rental spaces
(roughly 12' x 6' each). You may cover your Garden Spot with your own shade screen to allow enough sunlight to safely grow
your favorite plants, while protecting them from too much sun, and various flying critters.
An optional plastic cover is also available.
The garden spot is being constructed on a DG (decomposed granite) base, with
custom blended bedding made with various composted manures, compost, topsoil and worm
castings, for a nutritious planting soil.
You may also bring your own favorite bags of potting soil, organic fertilizers,
planters, etceteras, or purchase them from Da-Le Ranch. A stemmed out
water faucet is included in the rental price, and hoses, connectors, spray heads
and the various growing mediums are also available for purchase, or you can
bring your own.
If our Garden Spot project becomes successful for
both Da-Le Ranch and our city
"gardeners," we will add more sections for additional
customers.
Garden Spot "Victory
Garden:"
NOT YET IN OPERATION, BUT ONCE
DEVELOPED, we will be planting a variety of bulk
vegetables in a Garden Spot Victory Garden.
Vegetables that require lots of space will be grown with our Garden Spot
family in mind. You'll be able to pick your own veggies, and then purchase
additional veggies from us at a discounted price. Several varieties of squash,
corn, tomatoes and other bulky vegetables are being considered for this Garden
Spot Victory Garden.

example of what most of us eat from day to day.
Our Garden Spot spaces rent for
$50.00 per month, paid in advance for a four (4) month period, and includes
watering when you are not available. All you'll have to provide are your
own working tools, stakes, trellises (if required for the plants you're growing),
seeds, seedlings or plants, sun screens, and a little time and patience.
