Da-Le Ranch
Da-Le Ranch is a family
owned and operated facility located near Lake
Elsinore, California
that promotes sustainable farming and natural or organic
concepts in living.
The 22-plus acre ranch,
promotes and participates in environmentally
friendly breeding and raising of trees, palms, plants, dogs,
rabbits, and red worms,
and we make our own proprietary compost blends. We also
either host or support
other activities, such as non-profit animal rescue
centers, and working
horse ranch (equestrian center, with board & care, tack rooms, grooming and riding
trails - coming soon). Da-Le Ranch is developing what we believe to be the first rental
garden spots in
the country, where you can escape city life for a few hours a week
and
"work" your own garden, raising your favorite vegetables, plants and
fruits,
either organically, or in the conventional manner.
Da-Le Ranch life is quite
simple, not hurried or sophisticated.
We are down to earth folks, and
enjoy sharing God's blessings with our
clientele, most of whom become life
long friends.
We truly believe in developing a "client for
life!"

Tour the nursery, gardens, worm winrows, animal
pens and dog kennel.

(petting zoo coming soon), and enjoy
the feel of the outdoors, free from the clutter and anxiety of city life.

Da-Le Ranch
is a local, small working farm, owned and operated by
Dave Heafner and
Leslie Pesic.
The farm is a work-in-progress, modeling rapidly
growing “slow food” and “green” market concepts to
develop
sustainable and
renewable
practices.
Recycling is at the forefront of operations; our
worm farm feeds a variety of waste agricultural
manures, vegetable scraps, and recycled paper
products to hungry
Eisenia Fetida
red worms.
This process produces a naturally organic
fertilizer called “worm castings.”
Our commitment to the 4 R’s (Reduce,
Reuse,
Recycle, &
Restore), means we let NOTHING go to
waste!
Raising farm animals is naturally challenging.
But, our commitment to bring healthy, superb
tasting foods to your dinner table fuels our work ethic.
The ultimate goal:
100% natural!
Animals are fed no supplemental growth hormones
or steroids.
Antibiotics are used discriminately, only when natural
cures fail.
USDA inspected pork, lamb, rabbit, chicken, and beef are available year round, with seasonal
turkey and some game animals.
In addition to meat sales, our “Garden Spot,”
raises choice vegetables during the regular growing
season.
Although not yet certified organic or natural, Da-Le
Ranch practices “clean” methods, keeping animal health
and welfare in perspective:
We believe that “a happy animal is a tasty
animal!” As demand exceeds our
supply, we outsource with a focus on clean foods, to fit
our farm’s superior growing ideology.
